RIMINI WORKSHOP

LEARNING EXPERIENCE

GRAPHIC, COMPOSITION AND HUMOUR IN STREET PHOTOGRAPHY

Street photography, a photographic approach to interpret in artistic and authorial way a public or private area continuously in transformation.

The relationships among the many elements in a private or public area create a movement in the environment, that only those who pay attention can see. Lines and graphic elements come together and merge through the composition creating different levels, as well as beauty, harmony, coincidence and unexpected irony. Our movement or the movement of other animated subjects transform the surrounding elements.

Siegfried Hansen and Francesco Sembolini will show you their creativity on street and ability to anticipate situations and scenes. You will receive input and advice to improve your street photography.

THE STREET PHOTOGRAPHERS

WORKSHOP'S TARGET

Create one’s own graphic, aesthetic, humorous, bizarre and unusual reality by juxtaposing non-related elements and situations.

To create images that can make you immediately recognizable. You will learn how to build with very little, because everything can be more if taken from the right perspective.

Students will learn the details that make a photograph a good photograph and they will recognize, in the street, what details to add, to wait or to delete and to learn searching optimal background and foreground.

Moreover the workshop aims at developing self-criticism. Being self-critical and learning to evaluate the originality and complexity of works we can go always further in a constant research for the best and without being satisfied with banal works.

The differences between focal lengths for obtaining certain perspectives and frames. Street photography is not just a certain focal length but it is what our creativity and creativity can generate

PERCEPTION AND INTUITION

To make a good photograph first of all you have to perceive it. How can we trigger a process that makes you catch a good photograph even before seeing it with your eyes? You will have to take the photos first with your mind and then with your eyes and camera.

RIMINI AND ROMAGNA COAST

Siegfried and Francesco will take you on the street and on the beach for many hours giving advice and showing you how to capture good street photos.

You will observe the two authors throughout the process that leads to the final shoot and you will be mentally immersed in their vision.

The location will be Rimini, on the Romagna coast, a perfect place for minimal and non-minimal street photos, in which the main subject is an aesthetic image created through unique compositions, graphics, colours and humour.
